I’m kind of irritated. Last night my best friend and her sister (who I’m also super close with) and her other friend all decided to book a trip to Paris. They found round trip flights for $350! But, nobody thought to invite me. And even now after I’ve asked “wow, that’s an amazing deal!” and, “that’s so awesome, tell me more!” and they still didn’t invite me.
I think everyone thinks now that I have two kids, that I can’t get away or something. 😔😤
Edit to add: I’m not about to write her out of my life. She’s still my best friend. Just sucks to be left out. I’m not going to shun her. It is what it is. Just looking for “It’s okay! I’d feel bummed also” support, not “forget her and drop your relationship” advice. 😘 Just venting because this is a “safe space”. ❤️

What would you say if they asked? Would you really go if they asked you to?

Absolutely. And it’s weird because she and I have birthdays 2 weeks apart so for the last 6 years we’ve alwayssss done a joint bday thing. And they are leaving on her actual bday.

Who wants to be around ppl like that who cares 🤷🏼♀️ maybe they have things in common

Her fam is like my family, and she’s been my best friend for 6 years. Still hurts a bit. She was my maid of honor and we have everything in common.

How rude!

Why not ask them if it’s a family only thing
jenna tess··
I was nice and asked all the questions. Like I said above, her family is literally like my family. She’s taken my mom to doctors appointments, and I’ve help her mom move twice. We do our thanksgiving together as a joint holiday. Plus, the friend isn’t related. It’s just weird I wasn’t even asked..

Super weird they didn’t ask you and then even after you say somethings still not asking you I would be upset but that’s just my personal opinion

just plan your own thing and invite someone else 🤷🏼♀️ I wouldn’t feel the need to tell every friend what I’m doin

Maybe we should plan our own trip!! I mean I’m dying to see the Eiffel tower lit up at night
jenna tess··
Thank you!! Hahah! I didn’t think I was wrong in feeling a little let down and left out!
I’m a huge history buff and there are three castles in dying to see in person. 😍

not at all!!
The food, the history the culture I want to see it all.

Then “they” are not your friends! Even tho you have been best friends for 6 years. That’s the way I see it.
Celia C··
But yes I would of been pissed off too.
jenna tess··
She and I have a trip planned down to SoCal to go to our favorite spa in February. I’m wondering if she just thinks I’m too busy or whatever.
Celia C··
yea probably....you could of just told her “well thanks for the invite”.

Ask them if the deals they booked are still available and tell them you’ll book your tickets ASAP! Make sure to tell them how excited you are for the trip. 😁

My friends and my husbands friends did/do this after we had both boys. It sucks to feel not included. I would always prefer the option of saying no than anyone assuming I can’t make plan work.

I understand how you feel. I went through that a lot. I always make time for people who make time for me. Even if it wasn’t possible they still could have brought it up to you. Maybe this will open up a door for a planned girls trip.

All the people saying they aren’t your friends?? No... I’m sorry but talk to your friend. Tell them how you feel. If they’re really a great friend, they have an explanation and you guys should work it out
