What are your thoughts on red raspberry leaf tea?
I did some research and women say it helps labor and helps open the cervix by causing contractions.
I’ve also read someone’s experience with having intense contractions that caused distress to her baby because she drank this tea.
If you’ve tried this what was your experience?

It is used to tone the uterus and prepare it for labor, not induce. It's safe to start drinking once you hit the third trimester. If you are drinking a ton of it I'm sure (maybe?) It could bring on contractions since it is toning your uterus, but I don't think there is much research on it starting contractions.
That being said...I drank it with my first but not with my second and saw zero difference between my labors so I don't really think it did much.

Lots of misinformation out there, it’s better to ask questions.
When I read a comment watching videos a girl did say it can cause intense contractions and that’s why it shouldn’t be consumed in high amounts so thanks for clearing that up for me.
Thanks for the advice and it sucks that it didn’t work for you the way other women say it worked for them.

there's just not enough research out there about it actually inducing. Definitely better to ask instead of just drinking a bunch all at once lol.
My labors with both 6-7 hours long start to finish so it wasn't too bad and I didn't tear with either. I was induced with both for medical reasons though also.

It doesn't induce you, it just helps prepare your uterus and its best to start drinking it at 36w I believe

I’m sorry but I think I may have said something wrong but I don’t mean to induce labor just help prepare for birth and that they can help the cervix and baby by giving contractions during birth.

as far as I know it doesn't cause contractions

It said it can when I was looking it up so I wonder how that girl got intense contractions but I think she was consuming too much.
