I was 24. Had been with my bf for 5 years. We lived on our own. I wasn't planning on being pregnant for a while but when we weren't using protection it's a risk we took. I was terrified. I was so scared to let my family down. I've been told my whole life to not get pregnant young and even though I was 24 and in a commited relationship I felt like I was sixteen and still living at home in that moment. I went over when she was home and my dad was working late. We ate dinner together and I told her. I cried. I told her that I didn't want anyone to be ashamed of me or be dissapointed in me. My mom basically said that if I was happy about being pregnant than she was happy. We decided to keep the baby. My mom told my dad and my dad didn't understand why I was so scared to tell him lol my grandparents (very religious and traditional) were brpught to tears with excitement because I would be making them great grandparents. I was so overwhelmed with all the support that I was sure I wasn't going to get. Moral of the story is that it might go over so much better than you think it will. And it's so normal to have some anxiety about it
