Mine has turned 3 this pasted August and we've been potty training for the past 8 months π with little to no progress. It was all my toddlers idea so I went with it. My husband didn't want me to stop but he hasn't helped with the process because he's been working out of state for the past 6 months. So, for our sanity sake, I stopped potty training him and will try again in a month or 2.
What are some of yall techniques in potty training? Did I start him too early?
I potty trained my oldest son and daughter the same week they each turned 2. It onlybtook a few days. Once I started I was fully committed and had no diapers at all in the house so there was no going back. We didnt leave the house for a few days and it helped more than anything to keep them completely bottomless during those days unless they were sleeping.
My son is almost 3.5 and just started peeing in the potty 2 weeks ago. He is having poop issues now. Heβs scared to poop in the potty so he holds it for days and then poops in his pants.
Yes. I'm noticing all my friends who have 3 yr old girls, they're potty trained after 2weeks of potty training them. My siblings who had boys they were either potty trained by 20 months or before they turned 3. I feel like something is wrong with how I'm trying to potty train him. It's exhausting and a bit frustrating
Every kid is different. My oldest boy we started shortly after second birthday and took to it super fast! Which is not normal. My second boy, he could be bribed at 2.5 but no interest. I was pregnant when he turned 3 so I just got him ready and kept telling him diapers donβt fit 3yr olds. Woke up on his birthday, took the diaper off and has been in underwear ever since! My daughter was a lot like my oldest!
@luna that's awesome! I've never tried complete bottomless bottoms. Maybe that's what I need to try. But for now I need to recover from the exhaustion
