My boyfriend, mommy, and I just watched this video that was very informative. Apparently, with natural labor, you should get from 0 to 3cm in 14-20 hours and then 1.2-1.5cm/hr thereafter. (Lower end being second+ time moms). If that doesn't occur, it may indicate failure to progress which is when induction is required 🤷🏽♀️. Didn't know the numbers. Now I'll wait and see if I naturally go into labor... If I don't I'll chalk it up to I'll have to be induced lol 🤔
I went from 3-6 cm in 2.5 hours everyone’s body is totally different. I went natural with my last two babies. My contractions with my middle son were every 2.3 mins and I only pushed once with him, it was about an hours worth of active labor.
My first son I had natural and delivered in 20 min labor with 2 hr contractions my 2nd son I had a late epidural also 20 min labor 2 hr contraction s my 3rd son 13 hrs of labor was vomiting, needed oxygen for myself was very traumatic and they gave me Pitocin to speed up labor yeah made me so sick
With all 3 babies, the docs had to break my water at the hospital. My oldest was born after 4 or 5 pushes. My 2nd baby girl was born about an hour after getting to the hospital since I went in for preterm labor, when I went to do the urine sample I lost the rest of my plug and had the bloody show. She was out in 4 pushes. I was in labor for 20 something hours with my son, I was about 4cm when I got to the hospital with him, the next morning they broke my water, he started coming out at 8cm. They told me to close my legs and stop pushing but my body was doing it on it's own since I had his sister 18.5 months before him. He was out in a few pushes. All 3 were born all natural with no pain meds
