Friendly reminder that you can NOT steal someone's baby gender "mojo". Had a friend just now tell me that me and another friend of hers "stole" her baby girl dust. Both of us had/are having girls and she's decided that it's our fault somehow that she's having her second boy. Like if one of us would have had a boy she would have gotten her girl. First of all, this is ridiculous, you can't steal baby gender "mojo" from people. Don't blame your gender disappointment on me. The gender of the child I got pregnant with has NOTHING to do with your chances of having a girl. And second of all, even if it WAS a thing, I knew the gender of my daughter before she even got pregnant, so that's also insane to say I "stole" her pink mojo when I was pregnant long before she was. And yes, this is something she's seriously mad at the two of us for. She somehow thinks that it's our fault that she's having a boy because we aren't/didn't and somehow her having a girl couldn't have happened when two of her friends were having girls. I don't get where she got that ridiculous idea, but it's so dumb to be mad at someone over the gender of their kids. I understand that she's dealing with gender disappointment, she really wanted a girl. But that's no reason to blame the people who've been there for you during your pregnancy for your disappointment. I'm still super happy for her, she's going to have two beautiful boys and ive said as much, but she said she doesn't need me "flaunting" my daughter in her face so she's not talking to me anymore. We've been long distance friends for nearly four years now, we met when we were both pregnant with our sons. Just sucks she's going to end it over this. Hopefully she's going to come to her senses and realize that no one has any influence over the gender of her baby.
