Anyone who's gotten the Depo know how long it takes to fully get out of your system? I was supposed to get my second shot on Monday but I cancelled the appointment because this Depo shot is the devil and it's still making me sick. Nurse says I probably won't stop bleeding until it's completely out of my system. Same thing with he headaches and nausea. I got it June 13th, had normal pp bleeding for about two weeks and spotting from then on that hasn't stopped for more than 24 hours at a time, horrible headaches at least four days a week, cramping, and nausea. I'm ready for this to finally wear off.

I'm not sure how long.. instead of getting another shot i got put on pills. Since i started it instantly regulated my cycle. Maybe you should try that and see if it helps?

On September 13th it’ll be ineffective but it could take up to an extra 6 weeks to really get it out of your system and for the symptoms to stop.

Almost been a year for me and I’m still dealing with issues from it. Constantly having cysts & crazy bleeding

@insecureemu, i would definitely go especially if you can’t deal with the pain. It literally brought tears to my eyes. The hospital will definitely take care of you & they will tell you to follow up with your obgyn and usually if you tell your ob you went to the hospital for the issue they should take it seriously. I know exactly what you mean about your drs office not taking it serious. My dr is the SAME way

@mumofavs I'll have to go next time it happens. My doctor refuses to see me about the constant bleeding even though it's been nearly 12 weeks of it and all the headaches too and cramping. He says I'm fine or that I'm reading into it too much and it's probably normal. But when you feel like you're constantly on your period with horrid cramps and headaches that you've considered going to the ER for,I doubt that's normal.

yes that’s not normal at all!! I always go to the ER before i even attempt to contact my doctor
