Positive reinforcement may have backfired....
So, Thea understands being told, "no", "move", "drop thay" etc. and when she listens I will clap and/or say something along the lines of "Yay, you listened so good." It's great... well, for awhile she has been clapping for herself whenever she stands up because I would do that... but now, she will do something she isn't supposed to and stare at me then when I say, "stop" or "no" she will stop, smile and clap....
So, in short, it seems my child has begun intentionally doing things she isn't supposed to because she likes being praised... I praise her for like everything she does, though...

That’s ok lol. Instead of saying move and drop that I would suggest some nicer ways of saying things. For example in an upbeat voice “let’s move to the side” or “can you put that down?” I’m not a fan of commands bc once you hear your child repeating them, you realize how impolite and rude it sounds lol. I’m working on this myself

Yeah, I have heard the way I sound sometimes and am trying to work on it, too. It's a struggle. I have found it to be easier if I say her name first so it will come out more like, "Thea, we need to put that down."

it is a struggle for sure. I see all my shortcomings in my oldest 😬😂 it’s good though, it stretches us. And it’s great that positive reinforcement works so well for her!! You’ll find your way w her
