Ok, not a proud moment. Went out for a hike today. I thought it would be a leisurely stroll so we were in shorts and sneakers. Well wooded area...I requested numerous times we turn around and cease the trip. Long story short tons of tiny ticks on our fabric sneakers. Wtf do we do?! Got all we could visibly see off of us and home to inspect in better light and shower. Totally freaking out right now, there were soooooo many on us!!

Everything goes directly into hot dryer for minimum of 10 minutes. They can survive washer so always recommended that you put stuff in the dryer first

@addy, if you do end up finding any ticks biting save them in a labeled ziplock in the freezer so they can be tested if symptoms develop

Throw everything in the washer with hot water . Vacuum your vehicle. Shower your kids . & re clean the house . 😰

Thanks ladies all in dryer highest setting and we've all showered and cleaned up. Luckily haven't seen any more. Ughhhhhh

Update ladies, no ticks all nymphs. Luckily I only got 2 but my bf is loaded with chiggers around his ankles.
This will NOT happen again, ugh!
