My doctor today told me that next Tuesday if I'm dilated 3+cm he's going to strip my membranes, if not, I'll be induced the following week.
How effective is stripping of the membranes? Has anyone had this done at 38/39 weeks? I'm hoping to avoid medicine if I can. 😩

So with my first a sweep didn't work at all
But with second just getting checked jump started my labor 🤷🤦
My second sweep worked but my contractions were off the chart and horrible and I was not dilating fast enough. It was terrible. The nurse was like she didn't recommend it for first time mom's and it works better if you have had a child vbac before.
Dang. I hope I don't go through too much pain 😩 lol I've had a child vaginally before. I was induced at 38 weeks though
My midwife swept mine yesterday. Nothing but cramping & Braxton Hicks since but they say it takes about 48-72 hours so we’ll see
