What kind of solids do you feed an 11 month old ? 🤷🏽♀️He only has 2 teeth. 🦷🦷
Penne and chopped up meatballs is one of my daughter’s favorites. I’d say anything that is a soft texture and easy for them to grab is okay.
I definitely hadn’t thought of giving him meat because I didn’t think he’d be able to chew it. So you just chop it very small and smash it?
@expectinggreatness, From what I’ve read and learned their little gums are harder than you think. They’re able to chew soft foods so no need to smash it, just cut it into very small pieces. If you haven’t already look into baby led weaning.
I was just as nervous as you but I recently realized my 9month old prefers real meals rather puree alone. So she enjoy regular meals like eggs, rice, boiled veggies not puree and some soft finger foods. She can eat a baked potato and versus just giving mashed potatoes.......
Glad I’m not the only person who felt nervous . Do you make the rice or veggies really soft so it smashes easily ?
@expectinggreatness no smashes, just as normal as an adults meal. She would eat for e.g rice with ground beef. She likes it normal cause it soothes her teething gums too.
Anything really. My son didn’t get his first tooth until his first birthday and he ate EVERYTHING. I just made sure that veggies were a little bit over cooked and soft. Pasta and rice are another easy thing. Cheese. Their gums are actually very strong.
I guess I get nervous to give him anything other than purée fruits and veggies as well as mashed potatoes. My family tells me he can eat what we eat too... ☺️I figured he was getting tired of eating the same foods.
Oh my gosh.....already 11 months. <3 I remember doing avocado, soft carrots, things like that at that age.
Thanks ladies . I will try some different foods.l with him.
