No bleeding yet today. Fingers crossed this is the end of 11 weeks straight of bleeding thanks to this Depo shot. I was due for my second dose of it his morning but I cancelled the appointment. Bleeding was lighter than normal yesterday and I didn't have any horrible cramps either. Hopefully that means this Depo crap is finally wearing off. No headache today either. Ive been dealing with daily cramps, bleeding, nausea, and headaches since I got the Depo shot the day my daughter was born. I'm still nauseous today but, I'll deal with that happily as long as the other symptoms stay away. I was always afraid birth control would give me weird side effects because I struggle with keeping my weight up and I know that can cause problems with birth control and period cycles, and now I'm just even more afraid of being on it because the Depo caused all of this. 😒 Not even sure it's worth it. Shouldn't have ever gotten the shot, I haven't had sex this whole time anyways. And the reason they pushed it on me was because they were adamant that if I didn't I'd end up pregnant right away. Can't get pregnant if you're not having sex. 🤷

Depo shot is the absolute worse, I had the exact same thing !!!!!! Plus it took a toll on my mental state aswell. Would NOT recommend ever

No I'd never recommend it either. Ive also been super weepy and irritable. Hey told me at my OB office they weren't even supposed to give it to me so soon but the nurses claimed it was hospital policy to give birth control for health reasons. I also wasn't supposed to get it because I was underweight for my height pre-baby and was only 120lbs at 37 weeks when I delivered. My OB doesn't recommend the Depo shot for women classed as underweight or morbidly obese on the bmi scale. 🤦Ive been in the underweight category all my life, I had called him about my symptoms after I saw a different doctor for my 6week post partum appointment and she said it was super normal and would stop as long as I kept taking the Depo. He said she should have set me up for something different after hearing my symptoms from it, but she dismissed them completely. But now I'm honestly too afraid to try anything else.
