I’ve been thinking about putting Oliver in day care so I can bring in some extra income but I’m so scared. Can anyone make me feel better about it. Did you guys have good experiences with putting your kids in daycare? I read it’s only like 1 percent of Kids that are hurt by staff but I’m still not convinced. Oliver can be hard to handle sometimes. What if a worker gets frustrated and hurts him? I’d have to go to prison for murder lol I don’t want anything bad to happen 😭

I wanted to put my kids in daycare so I can go back to work in the morning night shifts are killing me but daughter cries all day long she’s such a miserable baby 😩 I’m terrified of someone hurting her

I know Oliver needs it. It could help him socialize the way babies do lol and maybe he will learn things quicker. I see more pros than cons but the cons are just so huge. Him getting hurt or sick from other babies.

Maby try to get a job at the daycare so you can be with your son?? I’m to damn paranoid to leave my kids with literally anyone besides my mother in law, and my husband. But I’ve wanted too for the same reasons as you, extra income

I personally think nanny's are a better option!
Your child gets the one-on-one care and you get to throughly vet the person you hire. It can be in your own home and you can set up a nanny cam. When I was a nanny I also did house work, so that could be an extra help for you if you go back to work. It's often more expensive, but worth it in my opinion

I prefer In home daycares over facilities. My oldest was in 2 great ones from 1yr til 10/11. Best ever.currently trying to find one for my toddler but it’s hard being in a new city 😞 I’ll probably have to find a daycare facility this time round

Some daycares have cameras you can access through a parents-only online account. That way, you can look at what’s happening whenever you want.
My son was in daycare from 4 months on. I went to his daycare every day on my lunch break to see him. Hanging out in the daycare room with my child for an hour each day also gave me the opportunity to watch on the sly how they treated the other kids, which was reassuring.
When the daycare closed (very small town), I switched him to an in-home daycare. I wasn’t able to go see him at lunch because it was in our town, not where I worked, but the daycare ladies treated him like family and sent lots of pics & updates, so I never felt worried about him there.
