How long does it take to house train a puppy? Ela is coming up on 3 months and while she doesn’t have many accidents inside I can’t fully trust her wandering around our house because I know she’ll pee. It’s exhausting having to keep an eye on her 24/7 unless she’s in her crate 🤦🏻‍♀️

What worked for me is when you take them outside and you see them pee or poop call it.. say "go pee" or "go poop". Do that in conjunction with what the girls are saying above and she will get it.

That’s what we’ve been doing and it’s helped tremendously. I don’t like keeping her in there during the day because i feel bad for her but since I can’t keep my eyes on her all the time I need to :c

@anap1012, The whole sole purpose of crate training is to get them used to them telling you when THEY need to potty. Every time you bring your pup in, let her roam around for 10-15 mins in a common area and put her back in the crate. Every time she wets in the house, she goes straight outside to potty even tho she just went because you’re trying to instill that outside is where she goes potty. You’re consistency will pay off! Lol you got this

Took me 2 weeks to fully potty train outside but yet we have a small dog and he has a tiny bladder so sometimes we do have accidents if we don’t take him out soon enough
