That’s terrible that the nurse doesn’t know what she is talking about mucus plug regenerates constantly throughout pregnancy. Loss of plug is nothing to worry about.

Didn’t see you were cramping. It does grow back so not sure why they would misinform you but they are likely just making sure the cramps aren’t anything serious! I wouldn’t worry!

Yes the mucus plug does regenerate BUT if your cramping it's a good indicator of preterm labor specially before 37 week. What triggers the mucus plug to dislodge is your cervix opening or sex or even a vaginal exam. Your dr. Probably is just being cautious. Which is good!

yeah I’m 31 but yeah. I’m worried but not gonna worry too much but last time with my son I lost it at 35 weeks with no cramping and I just had some sharp pressure and pain down there 🙄 I hate the guessing game for sure.

@mommarogers yea I can imagine! It's been 9 years since I've been this pregnant and it's all very new to me lol with my first I never experienced anything. This pregnancy I've experienced small amounts of mucus plug and very very mild Braxton hicks. I think the biggest thing for me that I never experienced was having pressure and pain down there aswell. But dr.s say it's normal aslong as theres no leaking or bleeding.

I google alot and ask my doctors all these questions. I go to John Hopkins maternal fetal medicine once a week and I asked this question and the dr. Did say yes it not a concern aslong as there is no bleeding and cramping. Because yes it does regenerate.

It does regenerate and the cramping can be normal, I had it throughout my pregnancy. It's good your going to get checked though. Just try not to worry too much!
