My yoga ball helped progress my labor immensely and walking. I started losing my mucus plug and was having very very strong irregular contractions. Once I got on the ball they started becoming more regular and much stronger. I bounced and rotated my hips on that ball to keep my contractions moving and to keep everything working. If i stopped moving my body would stop trying to get her out. That ball is really what I think helped my body start to work her down and get her on out.
Not ever touched a yoga ball with either of my pregnancies... This is my 3rd boy he is in position for birth .. I honestly have to be induced .. Water hasnt went on its own at all . first two i tried caster oil. Lost mucus plug thats alll .. Does the ball help ?
Bouncing on it can cause the babes head to swell, from the head bouncing on your cervix. Figure 8s are much more comfortable, and allow the pelvic floor to open and the baby to move down.
