Can anyone tell me how I go about getting babies birth certificate and social security card?

I filled out paperwork at the hospital for the socials bit you need to go to the courthouse in the county which the child was born for the birth certificate..

SS card comes in the mail and BC picked up at the county office. At least for me

What do I need to get her birth certificate? drivers license? And then does it get mailed to me after going there

I’m sure you filled out paperwork at the hospital before being discharged. Do you have a copy of it? I’m pretty sure the SS card comes in the mail automatically. In my state I had to submit the application and fee to get the birth certificate mailed to me. Check your state website.

SS comes in mail birth certificate at your local birth certificate office for me at least

I filled out paper work at the hospital and I’ll get the SS card and birth certificate in the mail.

Im in michigan and when you fill out the paperwork at the hospital you get your SS card in the mail & get your birth certificate at the city hall

How long does it take to get it and how do i know when it's there?

Vital records for BS (did online)

Social security office for social security card. (In person)

We had had to get both that’s how we got ours.

In va we get them after the baby comes and if we need another the is a office and you get a information sheet and fill it out. We can get birth certificate at the dmv. Idk if that helps im in another state lol

I never even had to fill out anything for the SSN my babies came in the mail not long after being born.
