Need advice from someone who has had experience. Or even if someone hasnt, because i think its just common sense. Is it right for someone to blame another person the reason they arent or cant get sober from something? I think thats someones personal battle and kts no ones fault if they cant get sober. I know sobriety is tough. Evwn though i dont know first at hand. I just assume. But to tell someone they cant because of them??? Can someone else make you stay on something. I just dont get it.

Ultimately it’s up to the person who has the problem to accept they need help, but there are enablers who make it harder for someone to find the will power to get sober. It depends on the situation, but overall it’s up the the person going through the addiction to find the strength and willpower to get sober.

I can see blaming someone if they are standing there holding out drugs or alcohol for the person. But at the same time, nope. The only person who is responsible for getting sober and staying sober is them. Don't blame someone else. That's just beating your loved one up and eventually it will push them away from you. Whoever is blaming you is an asshole and it isn't your fault.

It takes for the person to realize they need help to change, nobody can do it for them. I’m speaking from experience, I used to be hooked on pills. What helped me get through it was my man always being there for me no matter what, he would always talk me out of it and with his help I feel like I came out of that situation. Cause lord knows if I didn’t have any type of support system I would probably be a drug addict still. But first I feel like it starts with the person doing drugs, to realize what they’re doing isn’t right.

Nah, that’s a cop out. Some people can’t take responsibility for their decisions and feel the need to blame others. It’s pretty fucked up to blame someone else for not being able to get sober.
