Does anyone know the process for starting your children at a daycare? I don't want to go back to work but I'm thinking I'm going to have to. My mans not been managing the finances well and I found out he's been late for paying rent for the past three months and never said a word about it. He doesn't budget correctly and last month we ended up late on every bill we had to pay because he was careless about making sure he had the right amount in the proper accounts for withdrawal. He's also been spending too much and made us late for our rent payment because he was 150bucks short due to unnecessary spending. I really don't WANT to go back to work, and putting Violet in daycare scares the life out of me but I'm afraid its necessary or were going to end up in trouble financially. I'm not even sure I'm going to be making enough to cover daycare costs for two kids and have much left over to help with bills and stuff but we have to try something. Also how do you bring up that you'll need to pump at work? I don't want to have to stop breastfeeding because of a job but I'm afraid I'll get passed up for having to take the extra breaks to pump. I haven't worked in about three years since ive been a sahm with my son. He's never been in any kind of daycare at all, not even with a sitter other than family. My man likely won't fix his habit, he sucks at budgeting and he's too stubborn to let me do it so a job is my only option. But I have no idea how to start the daycare process or if I can even afford to do that or if I'd just be working to cover daycare costs which doesn't help anything. I'm not sure if I'd qualify for help with daycare costs with my fiance's income too. How do you even go about putting them in daycare before you get a first paycheck? Do they have some kind of leniency for that? Will they need vaccination records? Birth certificates? Or just socials?

I suggest you have a serious conversation with your man first. Have you guys always been living paycheck to paycheck since you became a SAHM. If that's the case then it sounds like you couldn't afford it to begin with. Try finding a job that is opposite shift so you won't have to put them in daycare but you'll still have the added income. You need to take over the bills or he needs to stop paying them late. Period. Pay the bills together create a budget together and stick to it. Cut unnecessary spending until you get back on your feet.
As far as daycare you'll at the very need to be prepared for the first weeks payment. Most places require a deposit that you get back when you unroll with proper notice. Yes you will need vaccine records.
Breastfeeding and pumping can be done. Laws vary by state and the working environment that you're in.

I would definitely try to talk to him about it. He needs to communicate with you a lot better than he is. Also you can look into a private babysitter instead of daycare. I pay $240 a month for my babysitter ($20 a day) instead of close to $800-$900 a month for a daycare

Finances shouldn’t be left to only one person in a relationship to manage for this exact reason. Surely you can have a talk and BOTH manage finances and a create a budget together. As far as daycare you will most likely have to pay a deposit and/or first week right away. Home daycare may be able to work with you more.
