I just recently got a new job, and I needed to put my daughter back in daycare. I put her back in a daycare that she loves and I trust, she was in there for over a year.
Anyway, the lady is only accepting full time spots, and I told my daughters father I would pay for daycare, but can he please put her in on his days so I’m not wasting $195.
He basically was fighting me on it, saying he has no need to put her in daycare, that she’s fine with him etc, then proceeded to tell me that i should bring her to him instead of daycare, and I can pay him instead...... uhhh no.

If he doesn’t want to put in her daycare during his time that’s ultimately his decision.
The second part though it’s a bit ridiculous.

Oh no I agree with that, I’m not upset with that at all, it would just be the nice thing to do so I’m not paying 195 for 2 days.... 😒 but yes! Thank god im not the only one who thinks that is insane!!! Telling me to pay him to watch our daughter?!

right I hear ya I’d be upset too, that’s a good chunk of change to loose out on. Maybe he’d compromise and put her in at least one day during his time?

That sucks though - that happened to us.
Maybe ask her if she has any other part time kids and see if she’d be willing to see if you and the other mom could share a full time spot?
It would be difficult as you’d both need to work opposite schedules, but maybe it would work.

I’m entitled to have two days off a week at work, so i might ask my job if I could have my days off with my daughter and when she’s with her dad I’ll work. I’ll just have to find a sitter for her the fridays that I have her

Not knocking Uber by any means but I don’t see how that’s stable income, but anyways why would someone want their daughter to be in daycare if she doesn’t have to be? That’s ridiculous.

You don’t need to pay him anything. That’s the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Tell him to be quiet and watch his kid.
