Feeling a bit down. Motherhood is definitely not easy. How do you moms juggle a newborn and 23 month old without slacking on either one? Household duties? Baths? Teeth brush? Hair brushing? I'm kinda loosing it.
And breastfeeding on top of it all.
Any advice please!!
You just have to prioritize. Imagine having a disabled 5 yr old you have to feed and change, make sure he's comfortable propped up on his pillow not trying to get out the bed, a 1 yr old who is active as can be and wants to play all day, a 3 yr old who just wants attention and also wants to play, an 11 yr old that constantly bothers you to cook when he can fix his own food sometimes, AND a newborn...and I'm a single mom!!! Just set up a routine that helps you you got this
@gion.92 thanks for your encouraging words. It's day 7 so everything is fairly fresh.
You will be just fine I promise you! I'm on Day 4 with having all my kids with me and I can say I'm handling it better than I thought. I've cried to myself, I've had moments where I felt weak but I refuse to be stuck in postpartum depression when I have 5 little lives depending on me to keep it together. Use them as your motivation to keep pushing mama❤
@gion.92 yes, that is all true. Time like this is when women should stick together and give a helping hand.
It’s a huge struggle. I still feel guilty. My daughter acts out the most when I’m breastfeeding and it stresses me out but I try to make up for it when I can.
Sometimes the house is a mess when we go to bed. Sometimes it’s spotless. Usually it’s just picked up. Baby doesn’t have much hair or teeth so you have time to get in a routine. And yes the TV does go on in our house. You do not have to be perfect 💕. Kids also do not get a bath every night unless they need it, usually every other night.
