Mine won't until at least 38 weeks and they need a reason to like if you lost your mucus plug or bloody show, or you've been having contractions or cervical pains. Otherwise they said it's pretty unnecessary until you're in labor.
I got cervix checks at the very very end of my pregnancy. I was like 40 weeks. She was just checking to see if I was anywhere near being dialated and it took less than a minute and it wasn't comfortable but it definitely didn't hurt

There’s no reason to check it unless you’re in active labor. You can decline cervix checks.
