Can I still continue to breast feed while being pregnant?
You can as long as you aren’t high risk and have your OB’s approval. Unfortunately my milk pretty much dried up by the time I was 20w and I am not sure how long I have been producing colostrum instead but it had been at least 10w for that. My son still loves to nurse though and the change didn’t bug him.. guess who gets to tandem feed? 😂😩😭 Was really hoping he would wean but oh well! Good luck on getting your supply back up though! I didn’t attempt that honestly.
My son only knows breastmilk im trying to wean him off for this next baby but no luck
@dj-du, he may just naturally wean. My son hates normal milk but thankfully likes other dairy to get his calcium. But I would just keep trying to offer cows milk since yours is over a year and keep nursing until you are ready or he is ready to wean. Or just get stuck like me and then have two nurslings. 🤣
I breastfed my son until he decided to stop nursing. I was into my 2nd trimester when he stopped. Doctor and midwife gave me the ok to breastfed throughout my pregnancy if I wanted. So moms even tandem fed infants and toddlers.
@sorcha, the thing is as of 2 weeks from now my milk supply has been dropping drastically and idk if it could be because of my pregnancy
I did. They wanted me to stop, I said no, but I will cut back a bit. I would have stopped if there was something really dangerous, but it’s just standard they say to stop. It was fine just very painful the first trimester due to all the hormone surges. My water broke at exactly 39 weeks.
I actually breastfed them both for almost 2 months, then i had to wean my first- it was too much.
