My friend always wants to do play dates with our sons. I love being around her but honestly her son is exhausting. He's so unruly and throws tantrums left and right especially when he doesn't get his way. He'll throw himself on the floor and scream endlessly until she eventually gives in. I usually stand by quietly waiting for her to calm him down so that we can continue the activity. I do agree to play dates from time to time, but whenever I do I end up getting annoyed because he's so hard for her to control and we often have to cut the day short due to his behavior. I'm at the point where I don't want to go on any play dates at all. What would you ladies do in this situation?

She needs to stop giving in. He does it because everyone’s lives stop and he gets what he wants. I would do play dates with little structure. Picnics, playgrounds, park.

It’s so funny bc I was dealing with the same thing. I gave in the other day and when they came over her son pooped all over my floor. No more play dates. I don’t even care. My kids can play with each other . I’d say find someone else to have play dates with because I hate getting annoyed

Yeah it takes a lot out of me to keep my mouth shut. It's really annoying. 😩

I would only do play dates at parks in this case.
