So I’ve had 3 kids this is my fourth and I’m already having Braxton Hicks contractions or maybe even real ones idk but I know that’s what they are since my stomach is tightening and cramps , I’m only worried because my last two were born earlier and earlier barely 35 weeks and they say you go earlier each time which for me has been true but either way it’s to early for Braxton Hicks to me anyway.

Braxton Hicks usually occur in the second and third trimester, some women even experience them in their first trimester. I would just make sure you’re hydrated and relax when you can. Braxton Hicks doesn’t open your cervix or cause labor so no need to worry.

That’s the thing though is idk what they are but I started dilating with my last child before 30 weeks even and my practice contractions didn’t start till after 20 weeks . They don’t cause labor but can turn into real ones with stress on the body I almost wonder if it’s my job all the lifting I do of people . And typically contractions of any kind this early are worrisome

I had Braxton Hicks before 20 weeks and was in preterm labor at 31 weeks. I agree it may be worth getting checked. Have they ever considered a cerclage? I think around now is when they do it but some doctors won’t do it if you have already started dilating.

They’ve never mentioned it but they also never seemed worried since I was never actually contracting when I went in the one time ,they said you can dilate earlier the more you have since cervix isn’t fully closed . But my water broke at home no contractions until after waters broke had baby a hour later it was so fast just barely 35 weeks.
