My MIL is stressing me out with wanting to throw a baby shower. I don't want one. First of she wanted to do only women. I do not get along with just women in a room. Omg. I mean unless we have some commonalities. But most of the ones she wants to invite is her family and friends I do not care for. My family lives in NY and they are planning to come for the birth. It costs to much to fly back and forth. She wants to hold the shower on August 10th and I'll be 37-38 weeks then. I could possibly have the baby then. But she suggested at her house bc most of her family live within a two hour range from there and within a three to four hour range from our place. I don't want to be traveling far from my birth center at that time. My MIL called me "funny" for that excuse. Ugh I don't want this damn baby shower and discussed it with my husband. He says that we should just have a "cutesee" when the baby is born but I don't want ppl touching my child. Again, I'll just look like I'm "funny" or be called a "bitch". Rant over.

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
