son getting out of car seat

So a couple days ago my son started getting himself out of his car seat while we are on the road. He will be 2 years old May 27th. He pushes the chest clip all the way down and pulls his arms and shoulders out of the straps but is still buckled at the waist. Today he did it 4 times, we had to pull over every time. He look so small in his car seat

I am so incredibly grateful for my best friend. Last night she and I were in a car accident. I was driving and we got hit by a student driver. My car is totaled, I had to come out of pocket for a rental car. Both of my kids car seats were in the car and I’ve been stressing on how to buy new seats for them, she just told me that her and her husband bought us new car seats. I can’t stop crying.

Convertible Car Seat- advice please ;)

Hey ladies ! Can any of you recommend a convertible car seat ? Davis is almost at the height limit for our infant seat so we need to purchase one ASAP. We drive a Jeep Patriot so it's a smaller suv and we would prefer a more compact car seat if possible. Which convertible car seat do you have, and how do you like it ?! Thanks ladies ! ;)
