Moms that had a natural birth how was it? Does it hurt really bad? Can you feel everything and feel them stitching you up? I wanna do epidural again but scared of having even worse back pain after or other complications.
Thank you for all your stories ladies. Maybe ill try natural amd see how it goes for me.
That's exactly why I didn't do epidural again. I was induced this time too. First baby I had epidural and then it gave me bad back pain. I'm going to say contractions were the worst part for me. The contractions get really intense when the baby is coming, followed by intense pressure that feels like you'll have the biggest poop of your life. The pressure honestly is in your butt. The pushing wasn't bad at all, more like a relief. Although they say it burns when the head comes out, it didn't for me. It felt more like stretching , but not painful to me, but everyone is different. She did tear me in 3 places, including a 1st degree perineal tear. (My son did a second degree tear on me, hurt way worst! ) Honestly there is so much adrenaline and stuff that I didn't notice pain, just the contractions afterwards as well. The delivery of the placenta was nothing. That part always scared me lol stitching me up didn't hurt, was a tad uncomfortable, they do put a shot of anesthetics...and they y'know touched me down there which was a tad sensitivity but nothing horrible. I honestly felt fantastic afterwards compared to the epidural. I healed way faster too. It's tough, but if you find ways to cope, breath through it, and keep a strong mindset, you can do it! It's such an accomplishment for me and it's definitely a life changing experience in my opinion. However you do what's comfortable for you!
I did with my last. The unexpected down side was she was sunny side up. Her forehead came first so her head didn't mold. I thought she was stuck and my dr said he could do an episiotomy.... she was out 2 pushes later😂 not about to be sliced when I already could feel everything. My labor wasn't too bad and pushing wasn't that bad until I started stressing when I say her forehead/hairline coming and knew what was wrong. You hear all sorts of stories women push for hours with sunny babies. Thankfully she was out in just under 15mins
I’m glad you asked this question! I want to try and do natural too. This was all very motivating! I’m excited.
