With my first birth I had a hemorrhage like double the amount of blood you lose from a csection bad. If I were to get pregnant again how would they prevent that from happening? It was very traumatizing for me and my whole family. I plan to ask my doctor next month when I go but I’m just curious now
@brittanyyyy, if you’re not using the same doctor, I recommend talking to him/her about your concerns and also doing some research yourself to be better informed if it does happen again so you know what the doctors are giving you or if you want to ask for an alternative. All of this you can include in your birth plan too 😊
I will be using the same doctor I had a d&c done and luckily the hospital was awesome and did tell me they were going to put me to sleep for it cause my legs wouldn’t stay open enough cause my whole labor I was pulling the people across the floor trying to close them and I didn’t like the thought and it was making me panic so they let me have a spinal instead
I had a friend who hemorrhaged bad with her first vaginal birth. Doctor's said she shouldn't have made it but thankfully she did.
Her second birth they had blood on standby but she had a better experience the second time. No complications or hemorrhages from what I remember.
I hope I get that lucky lol when it was happening I didn’t know anything was wrong but I know the second time I’d know and freak out
@brittanyyyy each birth is a different experience :) I hope you don't have to go through that again.
@brittanyyyy, depending on the situation vitamin k is used to help, oxytocin and/or breastfeeding is a very good benefit against hemorrhages as it helps your uterus to contract right after delivery
I have the same concern! I hemorrhaged with my first and had to get a blood transfusion and pray that with my second I don't! I want to leave the hospital ASAP especially to be there for my oldest. But I did ask my doctor , he said there's nothing to prevent 🤷🏻♀
