Alright, I need some advice on pumping. I’m a FTM with a babe who’s had a hard time gaining weight so we breastfeed and supplement with formula at every feed. The goal is to exclusively breastfeed if I can. My LC wants me to pump to help with my supply and use bottle-fed breastmilk before formula, but finding the time and energy to pump is so hard! I’m lucky if I can get on the pump once every two days. I have no idea how often I should be pumping not for how long. Normally I pump right after feeding and I’m lucky if I get 1.5 oz total 😔 I eat oatmeal every morning and take fenugreek. Any advice?

I exclusively pumped for a year. My daughter never did get the hang of actually breastfeeding. So I'm sure you won't need to pump as much as I did but just for reference this was my pumping schedule. For the first 4 months

Midnight, 3 am, 6am, 9am, noon, 3pm, 6pm, and 9pm. Each session was at least 30 minutes long.

After 4 months my pumping schedule was midnight, 4am, 8am, noon, 4pm, and 8pm. And once again I pumped for at least 30 minutes each session.
