So I’ve been trying to potty train my son for awhile. Got him his own potty and one that goes on the regular toilet. Got him pull ups and got him these training h underwear. Usually when you ask him to sit on the potty he doesn’t want too. Or if he saids yes and you put him on there he like freaks out and wants off right Away or wants to sit there forever. Well today I put the training underwear on him first time thinking well maybe if he knows he doesn’t have a diaper/pull-up on he will be like mommy I have to go potty. Well that didn’t happen! Lol instead he came running in to me “ mommy! Mommy! “Holding himself and then threw himself on the floor and I’m like ok ok we’ll go on the potty and he’s like NOOOO! But I got him on there and he wanted off right awAy and then was like I want a diaper! I want a diaper! And I had to clean up all the urine trailed through my house. 😕 I’m kind of discouraged that he’s not ready for the potty yet. He’s going to be 3 next month and I’ve been encouraging and trying to get him to go on the potty for months now and he just won’t. And I don’t want to force him if he’s not ready. He’s always been a late bloomer in everything so I guess when he’s ready he will.

Read about the three day potty training method. We used aspects of that and it really helped! Vi was the same way and now she freaks out if she can’t get to the potty.

He hates when I keep asking him to go on the potty every few minutes. He gets mad at me lol and I can’t blame him. But I read a good like real blog about the 3 day method I could maybe try it. Will be messy. Lol will have to stock up on real underwear but maybe my son will get it like that. Thank you!

start by celebrating every time you use the bathroom. Choose a song and dance (we used baby shark) to celebrate every time. Make it seem exciting.

My daughter is 3 and a half and still refuses to go. Only went 2 times last month then started screaming like she was dying when I would ask her to sit on the potty. Even if she took her pullup off and sat down herself.

Ugh it frustrating! I feel like I’m the one not doing something right but I feel like it’s just my son being super stubborn

I could’ve written this about my son. Just in the last month he’s started going for me on the potty. He turned 3 in December. I just gave up and tried a couple months later when I was going through what you were. Then I put him in no underwear at all cause even the regular underwear felt like a pull up I think and he thought he could pee in it.
