Induction is set for the 9th of this month ! Super nervous ! I heard the process makes labor longer…

My natural labor was a lot longer than my induction. My induced was 14 hours from when we got admitted until he was here and about 6 of that was actually labor. I was in labor nearly 24 hours with my daughter and that was natural spontaneous labor.

My natural labor was 23 hours. My induction was 6 hours of actual labor once the cervadil fully kicked in.

I'm not sure about the longer part but most definitely the pains come quicker stronger. 😖.

My induction lasted 27 hours of labor, and 3 hours of straight pushing. He was NOT happy either lol. But I also didn’t progress at all what so ever up to 40 weeks. Not a cm, not effaced, nothing. He was a stubborn little guy. Depending on what you have progressed to till then, see if they will give you cervadil to see if it will put you in labor without all the pitocin crap.

Hopefully you have a good experience and labor isnt long for you! When I got induced it was my longest labor ever, never again. If I have to be pregnant 40w til my baby comes i will let her, i dont want that epidural
