I signed Victoria up for swim lessons at our local @baysideymca this winter in hopes that she would potentially do swim team this summer with her big brothers. Her teacher Cindy transformed her from a little girl that didn’t even want to go into the water, to a little swimmer excited to jump into the pool by the end of the sessions!

The rule at our pool club is that if you can swim one lap without getting scared, you can be on the team! If you need to stop and take a break during that lap, you can do that. I’ve always love that about summer swimming because it’s not about the competitiveness of it, it’s about sheer fun.

This morning was the day with been waiting for! The first day of swim team! The YMCA got her ready to jump in with a smile on her face, even after a difficult morning trying to convince her to do it. She didn’t want the cold water!!!! Lol!!!

I can’t express enough the amount of incredible learning and skill that the YMCA taught my daughter, and her four older brothers throughout the years. Swimming is such a life skill and with summer in full swing, I strongly suggest you join your local YMCA and look at the swimming lessons. #swimming #swimteam #swim #swimmergirl #summer2019 #summerday
