So I’m in my feelings today just thinking how different things are now and how far we’ve come. I remember moving out initially and not knowing much about money management so we just bought a ton of stuff we didn’t need or that we could’ve held off on, then I got very sick and couldn’t work for like a month and the temp agency my husband worked at was very flakey so we were hardly making enough to make ends meet or to really eat. I kept getting sick in this apartment and we didn’t know why until our closet ceiling fell in and there was black mold everywhere. We moved out & in with my parents, I returned to work, my husband got a steady job as a nurse aid and finally we got on our feet and a month later moved into a house we ended up renting for almost four years. We had good & bad times there but I truly believe anything we went through made us stronger as a couple. We were blessed with a beautiful daughter & my husband made the career decision to become a postal employee & everything seemed to really be falling into its place. We debated for a while before we decided we were ready to have another baby, we struggled conceiving and every month it was a disappointment when the test said no. Then finally! It said yes, I took so many tests because I just couldn’t believe it. Unfortunately we went through a miscarriage. I wasn’t very far but I felt so many things after getting my hopes up just to feel like I was less of a woman & that my body failed me& my child. My husband helped me so much to feel okay again. This year we found out we were expecting our rainbow child in October literally the week we found out we were approved for the loan on our first home. We’ve been here for almost 5 months & I’m the happiest I’ve ever been for very many reasons. I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year brings, I can’t wait to hold both of my children in my arms & just have the little family I’ve always wanted. Just looking at how we started 6 years ago & what we went through even before moving out to seeing where we are now just makes me so happy. Sorry for the long post, pregnant woman in her feelings over here. 😅😅😅😅

I really appreciate this post. So many of us have had hard times and have struggled, and in the end through hard work and perseverance have made a comfortable and beautiful life. Too many people on here expect hand outs or a quick fix. It takes hard work and down times to get to the place that you are. Congrats, mama!

I’m so happy for you guys! It’s crazy how much life can change over 5-10 years. Idk how long ago your journey started but I know our marriage and life looks completely different from 7 years ago.

So much to be grateful for! A family who was there for you, a hard working husband, the ability to work hard... all these things that can so easily become something we take for granted until we are in positions of need and hardship.

I hope you enjoy every stage of your pregnancy ❤️
