I’ve been trying to incorporate some yoga and meditation into my daily schedule with my little but I’m not sure she cares much for it. I’m almost positive she’s dealing with a SPD just hasn’t been diagnosed yet and I’ve been doing like at home occupational therapy with her. After our regulation workout I thought it’d be nice to do a little yoga and meditating but she refuses to be still for more than like 2 mins if that. 😕 idk if I should keep at it or just find something else lol
Yoga is new for me but I’m really liking it so far. My little is still really young so I know it’s gonna be a little different but she actually does enjoy the Butler fly and the downward dog poses. I try to make them fun and those two just crack her up 🤣
It might be too much at once. Maybe try the yoga and meditation before bed instead of right after physical activity? She might just be too wound up
I’ll try it at bedtime I thought it would be a good way to wind down after the excitement of the workout but I guess she still has too much energy at that time lol
@kotasmomy2317, exercise increases adrenaline and oxytocin in the brain. At 2.5 it takes longer for them to come down from the “high”
My daughter and I started with children's yoga class and occasionally I would find some to watch on YouTube at home. As she has gotten older and more familiar with yoga she has been able to tolerate my videos better but not through the whole thing. I also still help with the more complicated poses
