I just switched my youngest because he hit the height and weight Max on his carseat and his little legs were cramped up.
My oldest and middle were around 2 1/2 and I'm going to keep my daughter rear facing for as long as possible.

Still haven't for our oldest. We'll wait until he hits the max weight or if he gets super uncomfortable. But for now he is very content with it.

I never heard of extended rear facing for my oldest 3 so I switched them all at 1 year old. Haven’t decided for my youngest yet.

I have the one that can be used both forward and rear facing. Now that he's 2, I use it either way but most of the time, he's still rear facing.

At LEAST 2 but I will be going much longer that. My nephew is almost 4 (but only 30lbs) and still is rear facing. He doesn’t mind it at all
