I bought an outfit the first time I became pregnant, when I found out. I had a miscarriage, BUT I put that outfit on my next baby and it was really special for me. With my second pregnancy, I waited until 13 weeks when I found out she was a girl, and my third pregnancy I bought a scrapbook at 18 weeks, but really nothing else until like 30 weeks. I splurged a bit a few weeks before I was due, but they really need so little! If you are having a hard time, I would look in local facebooks buy sell trade groups. I’m in a few by me specifically for parents and one just for moms, a lot of us post free items for others who need them, or at a really low cost- I bought a mamaroo swing for $40! I plan on passing it on to another mom. If you know anyone that has little ones, don’t feel shy asking if they have anything they were planning on donating, that you could use—- especially if they are done having kids, you could even ask to borrow an item and then give it back when baby is done for their next baby.
I waited until after my baby shower with my 1st, and 2nd we bought clothes & stuff from about 20 weeks on...waited until like 30 weeks or so to get the big things. my church family still bought us stuff too even though we didn't have a baby shower..my husband was in jail throughout my pregnancy so I relied on my dad for most of the things we needed. my hubby got out 2 weeks after my son was born though, so it all worked out for us♡
Well that's good that it all worked out. With my second it seems my bf side of family is suppose to help but I cant wait much on things because I need to get everything ready for the baby. I just dont think his ready for this baby
With my son I waited until around 26 weeks. I’d had a previous loss and it took me many years to get pregnant again, I just felt like I would jinx myself which is silly. There’s no reason to wait if you don’t want to.
I didn’t wait because I didn’t wanna be stressed out waiting till 8-9 months along to get things ready. I started getting free diapers in first trimester. I don’t believe that you shouldn’t buy things early.
Yeah that's so true. With my first son when I was pregnant I started buying things. With this one I dont think everyone ready for. I am but my family, my bf and his family aren't ready
@eddie1222.kk, It’s still hard for me to buy stuff just because of my GAD my nerves keep me on the fence and I get scared from the what if’s but I try to stay positive and enjoy buying stuff for my little guy. 💙
