Went to my appointment for my doctor and the nurse told me to go straight to the hospital. That I shouldn't wait because if my feet were swollen to the point of turning purple AND I am now 6 days overdue it could be an emergency. Got to the hospital only to find out swollen feet are "normal". I explained that I was overdue and I had contractions for a half hour on June 1st then nothing and that my feet turned purple. He didn't seem concerned about either complication I was worried about. He told me come in if my water breaks, I bleed, have swollen purple feet again or the hospital calls me to induce me.... 🤦 Kind of disappointed in the hospital visit. They make me sound like I'm always overreacting when this didn't happen with my son. He was only a week late.

If you’re not in labor or your water hasn’t broken then there’s not much they can do unless your doctor says you need to be induced. Did your doctor make a plan for if you get to 41 weeks?

No. But I asked my case worker what would happen if I went over. My son was a week late, I'm just concerned about my baby girl being late. I have an appointment with my doctor later today so I will ask her.

They checked my blood pressure, asked me if I had the symptoms of preclampsia, monitored my baby for a half hour, explained to me what I SHOULD come to the hospital for, had me sign some papers and sent me home

They only monitored her for a half hour. I go to the doctor today to do a SEP or something where my doctor monitors the baby
