When was the last time you were fearless? Really, really FEARLESS?

I had the pleasure and privilege of keynoting the @pwcwomensleadership yesterday at @bentleyu where the theme of the day was being INTENTIONALLY FEARLESS. I love the topic because I feel that as women we need to share our fearless stories because that helps inspire and motivate others to be fearless too. Being fearless isn’t always easy.

I loved looking out into the crowd of 400 women and feeling the fearlessness in every one of them. It was AWEsome to be able to chat with so many women after my keynote about their individual fearless stories. The one thing I’ve truly realized after working with so many women throughout the last 15 years online is that we grow and build and rise and learn from each other. There’s some power in that… and that support and push and drive that we all give each other is based from being fearless.

I shared my intentionally fearless stories of jumping into the waters of the Wild West of the Internet over 12 years ago. There weren’t many women making a full time living at blogging at that time, especially mom blogging. It was new territory. It was a new frontier. It was scary. It was the unknown. It was a time before anyone knew about SEO or filters. It was a time when all that mattered was sharing and building a community with other women who were doing the same thing. Those fearless women - many of them are still my closest friends in this space. We “grew” up together and still to this day help each other out with just about anything.

Never be afraid to be FEARLESS. We often discover who we are and what we’re capable of and who we were meant to be when we take that leap to be FEARLESS.
