Poor Jacob woke up so sick today. Fever is peaking around 103.9 without meds. Thankfully meds and baths are helping and he’s finally drinking. Even got him to eat a Dixie cup and yogurt for dinner.
The doc this afternoon said it’s either adenovirus or strep, just waiting for the culture to come back. He took a 3.5 hour nap this afternoon. Hopefully he sleeps ok tonight and my husband won’t have to sleep with him.
Baby needs to stay in until he’s better, so of course I’m having contractions, lol. Kitties are taking turns laying with him, which is new for them. They usually only do that with me.

I’d recommend the lightest blanket and not to let him sleep with too much blankets tonight because it can make the fever worse if he gets too hot.
Hopefully he feels better soon.

these are his blankies. One is a very loose crochet and the other is loose knit. They’re not warm at all, but he’s had them since birth and won’t sleep without them

Awww, that’s so cute.
I’ve had similar blankets but they are tiny now lol.
When I seen them they didn’t look too warm and perfect for having a cold.
I can tell they were made breathable and look really comfortable.
I didn’t understand these were for his bed or if he had a comforter on his bed so I thought I’d suggest keeping no more than one blanket when fevers occur because some people may not know it can make things worse.

he has a sheet and quilt on his bed, but they’ll be moved down. He cries when he sweats (toddlers, lol), so I don’t want him hot either. I just hope he sleeps long and hard and doesn’t wake up every time the meds wear off.....
Thank you for the well wishes. It’s so hard when they’re sick. He doesn’t get sick often, and this is the worst he’s gotten so far
