“But who will hold you?” I didn’t listen to a lot of advice I was given when Calvin was a baby. I held him 24/7, I turned my bed into a dang crib, I let him sleep with us, he had a binky for a long time, and I didn’t like him to cry it out. I don’t regret a day of it.✨flash forward✨

Walking from the beach back to the house Calvin starts getting upset that the sand is too hot. I hurry and pick him up and start running. “Wow Mom! That’s better!” Are your feet hot?” I said, “Yes, my feet hurt too.” He replied, “But who will hold you?!” I don’t recall a time that I was flooded with emotion the way I was when he asked that. Sometimes we just have to go through hard times. Advice is great, sometimes it’s needed and sometimes it comes from a good place. But at the end of the day, you won’t be content or happy if you don’t do things the way your heart tells you to.
