Im so tired of eating and then having my daughter refuse the boob.
I gave her rice cereal mixed with my milk. Gave her my boob again and laid down with her because she’s obviously tired.
Now she won’t stop having a fit.
I know she’s tired.
Like super tired. Maybe even teething but doesn’t chew on anything for very long before dropping it.
Should I just walk away? There is absolutely nothing else I can do.
She’s doing that guttural cry.

Have you tried giving her a frozen washcloth soaked in chamomile tea for her teething.? That’s literally the only thing my daughter chewed on

@squishybaby, it helps a lot. I give it to her when I see she’s just crazy fussy or when she having trouble sleeping when she’s teething.

honestly my doctor told me to try a frozen towel but I thought it could be too early. Now I’m for sure going to start trying that.
It’s just so hard to tell you know.

that’s fine.! We all learn differently. I only tried that because her fathers aunt told me that and I was nervous at first but it honestly helped so much. The frozen washcloth was the cool texture she liked and the tea was relaxing and she didn’t like the teething toys and the amber teething necklaces and bracelets scare me

Teething is hard but it’s not forever. Have you tried skin to skin to help her calm down? Is there a reason why you’re feeding her rice cereal?

She loves the rice cereal and prefers it over my milk or formula but I fill her up with breast milk first and if she’s still acting hungry, I give her a tablespoon of that mixed with my milk.
She’s full now and won’t take to my boob. She’s tired, I can see that in her eyes.
She does want to be held.
But I haven’t even taken a shower yet. I’ve been holding her all morning. ♥️

it really can be very taxing 😩 my girls never used teethers either. I can’t remember even what worked now. You’ll make it through ❤️

She could be in a developmental leap mama. My kid would act CRAZY at the beginning stages, skipping feeds and acting like he was teething but really just overstimulated. Just hold her, comfort her, try to ride it out with her. Singing and patting his back walking around in a dim room always helped me, and sometimes gripe water.
