My son seems to be somewhat interested in the potty, he knows how to say the word & sits down on his potty when he comes in with me. I ask him do you want to go potty and he says yes, but when I tell him he has to take his diaper off to do so, he says no and runs away. Any ways I can make him more interested or do I just need to wait till he’s more comfortable with it? I’m hoping I can get him mostly potty trained before baby #2 arrives 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼😅

It sounds like he might be ready to start potty training. You can give it a try and if it seems like he’s not ready then that’s okay. I used some of the tricks from here: https://www.lucieslist.com/toddlerhood/the-two-day-method-potty-training/ My son was potty trained in 2-3 days.

Yes. I say give it a try but don't force it if he loses interest. My daughter was interested around 1.5 but didn't really understand bladder control so I stopped. I tried again after her third birthday and she was mature enough to grasp the concept
