Do they admit you if you’re dilated to a 5cm? Not sure how that works.

My OB told me she had a woman walk around her last 2 weeks of being pregnant at a 7! 😱 because she refused to get her water broken. I mean I get going natural but yikes that's nerve-wracking! She juuuust barely made it to the hospital on time to have the baby.

I was 3cm when I went in because of contractions and mucus plug and they had me walk around the hospital for 2 hours and then I went to 4cm and they admitted me already

My hospital would keep you if you were in avmctive labor at a 5. Otherwise they typically would send ya home.
