I'm officially on maternity leave and I have no clue what to do with myself. I love spending time with Simmone but I'm already bored.

Yeah, at first I was against it and didn't want to take the time off that early. But with my high blood pressure I'm now more than ready. And I saved all PTO so I'm pretty happy with my decision and I just went on leave this week. I work with children so can tell physically I wasn't able to do my job well and be okay with that.

Well, I will be having a repeat csection on the 18th of June. I guess out here in Sacramento or California its basically use your 4 weeks before delivery or lose it. It doesn't affect my 8 weeks after delivery.

I’m in California too but I chose not to take the 4 weeks disability because it’s only 60% pay and I wanted to work and get full pay. Instead I took just 8 days using my sick time (full pay) and then 18 weeks after delivery. I had a c-section too.

Why did you take leave so early? I worked until 39 weeks with my first and 38 weeks with my second because I would be the same way, really bored at home waiting for my baby to arrive. I wanted to save the time off for after my baby arrived.
