Ugh I hate daycare rules. They're making me getting a prescription written for benedryl. -_- so dumb it says the medication and dosage and all the instructions on the label for the freaking bottle. Why do I need it a second time..

Probably to make sure it’s legal purposes and because it can also show up on drug test as another drug and the prescription version of it can cause seizures too and so it’s proof even if it’s over the counter that you need the actual medication and teens use it to get high

Def a legally requirement they can’t just give a child drugs without doctors orders, there are sick parents who drug there kids up on purpose.

I work at a daycare they don’t allow over the counter meds without a prescription it’s just a precaution. Preventing liability . It’s annoying for parents I get it but they have to follow rules

100% for legal reasons , could back fire and get blamed for over dosing etc. My mom runs a daycare. and refuses to give meds until a doctors notes are in place .. I bought a trampoline last year for my daughter birthday (I live with my parents) and the parents need to sign a permission forma for the kids to go on it. ( home day care insurance policy ) that even goes with any pool

Legally they are required too. Also benadryl is a strong medication so they want to be safe and provide the appropriate dose directed by your doctor.
