Poor little man has his first fever. 🤒
The pediatrician said because he’s a big boy weight wise, he can have 1.25mL of Infants Tylenol. I’m hoping that clears it up. 🙏🏼
I thought babies couldn’t have any type of medicine until after 2 months no matter wat
When I just called to see if she could squeeze us in, she recommended that. 🤷🏼♀️
But, I’m thinking I’m just going to go to Urgent Care.. id rather be safe .
I'm pretty sure it's by weight. Could she not squeeze you in? Is that his only symptom? How high is the temp?

She wasn’t able to, but she talked to me personally on the phone. (Not the same though 🤦🏼♀️.)
She looked up his weight from his last visit, so that would make sense..
His symptoms are the fever and restlessness. He’s still making lots of wet diapers, eating fine, and smiling. Just can’t seem to nap for the life of him. 😞
I was told that a fever of 100.3 or higher before 3m warrants a trip to the emergency room. (Not the case if shots were given.) So that’s really surprising that she would just recommend meds without even seeing him. I would personally still take him to he seen. 😬
@phoebesmommy, I took my daughter to the ER when she was 10w for a fever. It ended up being a UTI but they told me that fevers for a baby 8w and under the usual protocol is a spinal tap. 😳 They don’t fuck around with little babies and fevers. That’s why I’m shocked at the peds advice...
I’m not a huge fan of our pedi also. I agree. But, Urgent Care also just said “Tylenol”, so I figure I’ll try that since two doctors now told me too.
It makes me worry though - I mean. His temp is down now, so that’s good. Just still. Makes me worry.
There is another Urgent Care about 10 mins away, so if it spikes again to 100° then I’ll try that location.

I took him in. They also suggested the 1.25ml Tylenol and keep an eye on his fluid intake / diapers.
We were in & out in about 30 mins.
Now let’s just hope the Tylenol keeps it down. 🤞🏼

He’s a tad fussy, but the Tylenol seemed to do the trick.
I also had my husband go out and get a better thermometer- I’m thinking our other one was giving us inaccurate readings.
My husband is going to stay up with him until about 3am (I’m headed to bed now) and then I’m going to trade off..that way we know for sure he’s not getting his fever back.
I’m glad he is doing better. Get some rest momma. Keep us posted.
