$45 A DAY for an in home daycare.
If I tried signing up Oliver for full days Monday through Friday, it would cost more than the amount we pay for rent each month.
That’s INSANE!!
And I know it’s more expensive in other areas and that price is “reasonable”, but comparing it to the $105 I pay a month for 12 1/2 days currently, that’s a lot of money. Even making $14 an hour, and living in a low income apartment, my husband and I can’t afford that.

Daycares here cost as much as my rent there is no way I could ever afford that, but I would never put my kids in daycare because I’m terrified of the shit that goes on. 😫

Daycare is ridiculous. Cheapest I’ve found here is $120 a week

You should look into subsidized childcare funding through your state. Helps a lot! It goes by your income

I know. Super expensive. When you think about it, it makes sense, but realistically it’s hard for a lot to afford. I went down to part time in the morning and am home before my husband heads to work- that way, no childcare. Between costs and finding someone we could trust, this just works better. My daughter is in preschool while I’m at work, so that helps my husband out. Is there a program you might qualify for to help with costs?

The day care I send Noah to is $30 a day but that’s just because she chooses to charge her cash families that amount. If it’s not a cash family she gets more. I’m so glad Noah is on early head start and this baby will be too 😭 I would never be able to have day care cause it’s so expensive.

I used to be a nanny and charged $15/hr and had several friends who charged $20+ so I always felt I was getting the short end of the stick. That was in San Diego. So yes daycare can be expensive!! Especially for the good kind.
