I just transitioned from our bed (co sleeping) to her full size bed in her own room about 2 months ago or so. I still have to come in and lay down with her if she wakes up crying.
For her first birthday she got a twin bed with rails and she has slept in it every night since. She refused to sleep in her crib at about ten months and then would only sleep in her pack and play which wasn’t comfortable for her so that’s what pushed us to that decision at such a young age. She also knew how to get in and out of beds so we weren’t concerned about her falling.
We did at 17 months just cuz she flipped when we put her in crib and she was getting too big and active to cosleep. She still cosleeps with us until we can get her fully used to bed. She naps in it but get out of it in middle of night crying to crawl in bed with us.
@peanutbuttajelly27, @gennaraetarallo just watched for signs he was ready...he started showing interest in the potty & started telling me when his diaper was dirty. We never did pull-ups either, went straight from diapers to undies. Took him to the potty every 15mins, would set a timer, for about 2-3 days. I don’t remember exactly. It’s been awhile LOL 😂But he was super easy to train. We’ll see how my youngest goes. He’s stubborn.
Remember, every kid is different & ready at their own times. Just watch for their ready signs.
@joy87star, Both of their beds are in our room next to my bed LOL I don’t think I’ll ever be ready for them to have their own room LOL just kidding I don’t want to be that mom. They’ll go in their own room sometime
