I'm applying for state insurance because I can't afford any other insurance. They want me to prove my 4 year old lives with me. Via rent or mortgage, landlord statements,ID, vehicle registration, property tax statment, statement from employer, or utility Bill's.
HOW THE HELL DOES A 4 YEAR OLD HAVE ANY OF THOSE
Maybe you’d landlord/ property manager could add her on the lease if you rent to prove she lives there. Is she in preschool or anything?
We dont have a land lord. I sent an email asking if a family member can write a letter as proof of residency because they wont specify that and I do live with family
@teri.m.green, oh ok. Hopefully that works. I was thinking maybe a bill from the doctors or something with her name on it. I never heard of asking proof for a child. I would think a birth certificate would be enough!
If you have a landlord typically on the application it will ask who is living with you. You can ask for a copy. Or maybe an old medical bill?
Really that’s strange?! I mean we don’t live in the same state. But I thought proof of birth certificate would be proof enough that’s she’s even your child.
They don’t have like a child plus insurance in your state?
They want proof she lives with me which was never an issue before. The state seems to be enrolling her in "kid care" this time because of her age and she being about to be 5. Maybe that's why?
I used an appointment card from the drs office with my sons name on it when we needed his proof of address
